Both five-star reviews describe professional crews who arrive on time, complete chimney work to a high standard, and leave properties clean. Reviewers emphasize transparent communication, attention to detail, and craftsmanship that feels built to last.
Staff arrive on time, finish quickly, and handle drainage and yard overhauls with visible care. Multiple reviewers mention follow-up visits, fair quotes, and solutions for water problems; the owner Paul is named often for problem-solving and design input.
Every recent reviewer gives five stars. The consistent praise centers on Erdit and his family crew (including his brother and father): they respond quickly, keep work areas neat, finish on schedule, and explain options clearly. Walkways, patios, retaining walls, and stone work emerge as their core strengths. One reviewer noted weather delays but remained satisfied. The team's pride in their work and willingness to adapt during projects stands out across multiple accounts. A power washer hired to clean a finished home remarked their masonry was exceptional enough to recommend independently. Daily communication, flexibility with design choices, and transparent cost discussion appear standard. Reviewers value that the business walks them through each step and solicits feedback to match the homeowner's vision. Several mention using them again or recommending them to others. The family-business model itself resonates with customers who see personal accountability in the finished work.
Elezi's team completes patio, walkway, and hardscaping jobs in days rather than weeks, with owners consistently impressed by the speed and quality of their work. Shkelqim and his crew show up on time, communicate via text with photos and updates, and stand behind their work-returning same-day or next-day to tweak details until the homeowner is satisfied. Pricing comes in well below competitors for comparable quality, and the process is refreshingly simple: a notebook, a reasonable deposit, and a handshake. Their range spans paver driveways and bluestone walktops to custom patio rebuilds with integrated fireplaces, brick step repairs, and concrete sidewalk replacement. Reviews repeatedly mention the crew's attention to yard cleanup, honest design input, and willingness to accommodate last-minute changes. The owner's pride in craftsmanship and personal involvement in each job comes through as the thread connecting these projects.
M&G delivers consistent results across hardscape and landscaping work. Customers repeatedly praise fair pricing, quick callbacks, and crews that show up early and stay focused until the job is done. Staff communicate clearly and handle problems-like dead plants-without pushback. One incident of debris being blown into a road stands out as a rare lapse in site discipline. The team covers fence installation, erosion control, tree work, and stonework with skill. Vijay and Pranav are named for patient project consultation. Their West Hartford base serves Avon, Farmington, Simsbury, and nearby towns. Neighbors often comment on how finished yards look, and condo boards appreciate crews that actually haul waste away rather than dump it at property edges.
JD Construction delivers consistent, high-quality work across stone and hardscape projects. Owners Tom and James are on-site throughout, the crew stays stable and works efficiently, and they solve design challenges without cutting corners. Homeowners rehire them repeatedly and praise both the finished results and the care taken during the job.
Thirteen of fourteen reviewers report consistently strong work on patios, walkways, stonework, and chimney repairs, with particular praise for precision in complex projects (curved pavers, drainage, stone walls) and staff who answer questions patiently and clean thoroughly after finishing. One reviewer from four years ago reported being declined a front stoop job and feeling dismissed during the consultation, citing tone as a concern.
Strong results on commercial projects and scheduled work, with customers praising material quality and fair pricing. Residential driveway jobs show a pattern: older projects completed well and on time, but recent years see complaints of months-long delays, poor communication, and standing water issues.
Most work is done well and on budget, with strong results on masonry, waterproofing, and foundation repair. Stone and brick jobs show careful hand-placement and color matching; crawl spaces and basements stay dry after sealing and drainage work. The crew leaves properties clean and respects the site. However, two customers faced serious service failures after the job ended. One waited over two months for a promised fix or refund after a garage floor paint job peeled, with the owner James then stopping all contact. Another reported no follow-up and unanswered calls. These incidents suggest real risk if problems arise after completion.
A Hartford-based masonry contractor with a perfect five-star rating across two reviews. Limited review evidence, but the business claims over 55 years of operation and offers brick, stone, concrete, and restoration work.
