Albion and his crew turn yards and homes into showpieces through patient consultation and dependable execution. From patio installation to stone veneer to chimney rebuilds, their work arrives on time and under budget, with the owner visible on site and cleanup thorough.
Most customers praise George's fast response, competitive pricing, and quality masonry work on chimneys and stonework. A handful of older reviews cite missed appointments and poor follow-up, though recent feedback consistently highlights punctual service and fair dealing.
All reviewers report fast estimates, on-time starts, and completion without fuss. Work quality and pricing impressed repeat referrers; cleanup and site care noted.
Reviewers consistently report arriving on time and leaving the workspace spotless. Staff like Hector, Juan, and Jackie explain work step by step and handle chimney cleaning, inspection, and waterproofing with visible care for the home. Fair pricing and refusal to oversell repair jobs set them apart. One reviewer's Regency insert unit has had persistent mechanical issues despite NCS follow-up attempts, though this reflects the product rather than the company's work quality. Over 25 years in business and CSIA certified, Neighborhood Chimney handles chimney rebuilds with stainless-steel liners, fireplace installations, and commercial services across Connecticut. The team's honesty about what repairs are actually needed and their willingness to work within budget constraints earn frequent praise for trustworthiness in a field where that matters.
Leo Construction delivers consistently polished results across patios, steps, walkways, and hardscaping. Reviewers praise Leo and his father Niko for showing up when promised, communicating clearly, and taking visible pride in every detail. Work is often completed in one day, sites are left clean, and pricing sits well within budget. One reviewer noted dried cement on vinyl siding after sidewalk slabs were replaced, the sole rough spot in an otherwise flawless record. The crew handles both minor repairs and major landscape transformations with equal care, making them a trusted choice for homeowners across Watertown and Hamden.
Geni Masonry delivers clean, well-finished concrete and paver work with crews that show up on time and keep clients informed throughout. Reviewers consistently praise fair quotes, flexibility with mid-project changes, and thorough cleanup. One 2-star review detailed poor stonework foundation grout lines, unfinished cleanup (concrete on siding), and delayed response when the owner called back for repairs in spring. Most jobs wrap in days to a few weeks. Stamped concrete, paver patios, walkways, and retaining walls are frequently praised. The owner's willingness to accommodate additions (wider stairs, extra borders) stands out, though his responsiveness falters when problems arise.
Reviewers consistently report professional, timely work with strong attention to grading, leveling, and stone placement. Mateo and his crew handle patios, walkways, concrete slabs, and facades with care. They communicate well, keep sites clean, and charge fairly for skilled labor that holds up.
Reviewers consistently describe quick quotes, on-time starts, and finished jobs that hold up over years. Work spans driveways, patios, steps, drainage, and masonry repairs; staff explain the process, catch problems with existing surfaces, and clean up after themselves. Pricing is called fair and affordable across nearly all reviews.
One satisfied customer praised their work ethic and honesty. Four others reported serious service failures: debris scattered into flowerbeds and left uncleaned, vegetation dumped without proper removal, and rocks blown onto parked cars. Communication lapses also noted.
