Joe and his crew deliver consistent, straightforward chimney and masonry work backed by technical knowledge and fair pricing. Customers describe him as reliable and transparent, willing to explain problems clearly and solve difficult venting issues others turn down. Staff are respectful, show up on time, and stay in touch throughout the job. One customer praised him for attending a safety issue at 10:30pm.
The business handles fireplace inserts, wood stove installations, chimney liners, caps, and repairs on both residential and complex systems. Reviewers consistently note his willingness to find cost-effective solutions instead of recommending tear-downs. No significant complaints appear in recent reviews.
Armstrong Chimney Sweep delivers consistent professionalism across inspections and cleanings, with reviewers noting fast, clean work and staff who answer questions clearly. A tech named Joe earns specific mention for knowledge and problem-solving; the team's attentiveness and reasonable pricing keep customers coming back.
Work quality receives praise when projects finish, but serious payment and accountability issues emerge in disputes. Reviewers report unresolved refunds, missing invoices, and inability to verify the business's stated licensing despite Secretary of State confirmation they found no record.
Highly polarized track record: five-star clients praise Gianni and his team for pool renovations, patio work, and stone masonry-on time, within budget, responsive. One-star reviews document no-shows, abandoned estimates, and multi-year project delays. Recent clients (last 9 months) report excellent execution; older complaints (2-5 years ago) cite severe project abandonment. Pattern suggests inconsistent reliability or organisational change, but current work quality appears strong.
